Explain 4 duties of an Administrator?
1) An administrator uses programs such as Microsoft Word to prepare business documents like letters or itineraries which leads to the smooth running of an organisation
2) An administrator creates spreadsheets by using formulae to carry out calculations which means it is easier to process costs for booking/events
3) An administrator files information manually and in the correct order which leads to it being easier for files to be located
4) An administrator updates databases containing records of employees, customers and even suppliers this means that information is kept up to date
Explain 4 skills/qualities of an Administrator?
1) An administrator should have good IT skills as their job requires them to use spreadsheets, databases, and word processing software and to send and receive emails
2) The administrator should be well organised as they will be dealing with lots of information and need to be able to make sure they can find it again at a later date.
3) The administrator will be keen to learn as IT skills constantly need updating and they should be enthusiastic about learning new skills.
4) The administrator will need good communication skills as they will be dealing with enquiries from customers and staff by phone and e-mail. They will need to be clear and polite at all times.
