The action of rock shards falling to the ground after being eroded

Compaction

The action of rock shards being pushed together under immense weight

Cementation

The name of the action of rock shards turning into a new rock

Mafic Rocks

Rocks that are darker in colouration, and are denser

Felsic Rocks

Rocks that are lighter in colouration, and are less dense

A pink mineral contained in granite
