Describe an argument from one of your peer’s individual reports that made you think differently about your team’s solution or conclusion?

Ashwika’s argument made me reconsider our team’s solution as she informed the group the high extent to which censorship can deeply impact students’ self-expression and identity by referencing the banning of LGBTQ+ books and more. Her philosophical lens really pushed us to think differently about our solution and how we can make it prioritize inclusivity and protect diverse perspectives to foster intellectual growth.

What is a way in which your team’s resolution makes you think differently about your own individual research?

My team’s resolution broadens my perspective on the ethical line between safety and academic freedom by emphasizing the importance of incorporating diverse viewpoints and allowing viewers to set their own boundaries for censorship. This approach challenges me to reconsider how we can protect students' safety without limiting their academic growth or exposure to diverse ideas, highlighting the complexity of censorship and the need for more inclusive discussions.

Reflecting on your colleague’s work, which one had the greatest impact on your overall understanding of the problem your group identified?

Mouna's work had a profound impact on me, deepening my understanding of how censorship shapes knowledge and societal awareness. Her analysis of biases in content selection, the tension between security and freedom, and the impact on intellectual freedom helped us reflect on how censorship policies affect future generations' intellectual development.
