STI
Sexually Transmitted Infection contracted through contact with infected genital tissues, mucous membranes, and/or body fluids.
Asymptomatic
Showing no symptoms of disease.
Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID)
A complication of STI in women that can lead to pregnancy complications and infertility.
HPV
Human Papillomavirus; a common STI that can cause genital warts and increase the risk of certain cancers.
HBV
Hepatitis B Virus; STI that infects the liver, causing inflammation.

Vaccine that protects against HPV types 6, 11, 16, 18, 31, 33, 45, 52, and 58.

Luteinizing hormone; triggers ovulation.

Human chorionic gonadotropin; a hormone produced during pregnancy that is detected by pregnancy tests.
Vulvovaginal Candidiasis (VVC)
Also referred to as a yeast infection or moniliasis -- Fungal infection of the vagina and vulva.

Polymicrobial infection resulting from an imbalance in normal vaginal flora.
