3. Do NOT like people (prfers to be alone)

4. Appear cold, flat affect, aloof (disconnected from social interactions)

5. Diagnosed more frequently in men

Schizotypal Personality Disorder

Cluster A

1. Odd & Eccentric (unusal) behaviors

2. They are “awkward”

3. Magical thinking, ideas of reference, thoughts & feelings seem unreal

4. They are in their own world

Antisocial Personality Disorder (ASPD)

Cluster B

1. They have NO regret for right or wrong

2. They behave in ways that are unpleasant to others and they have NO feeling of guilt or remorse

3. Aggressive & violent behavior

4. Lack of empathy 

5. 50% in the prison population

   1. They behave dangerously and usually have a criminal record

6. they do NOT understand what they did is wrong

Borderline Personality Disorder

Cluster B

1. Fear of abandonment

2. They have the HIGHEST suicide rate

3. They are attention seekers and they are also serious cutters

4. Impulsive actions (may act without thinking) and have unstable emotional behavior which leads to unstable relationships

5. More common in women 

6. Ex: someone who goes on Facebook and shares that she is going to kill herself to get attention

Histrionic Personality Disorders

Cluster B

1. Constant attention-seeking

2. Extroverted & Sexually provocative (flirty)

3. Overly concerned with appearance

4. Tends to over-dramatize situations 

5. When they don’t have that approval from outside, they have a lot of anxiety and feel depressed

   1. You want to get approval from others 

6. If all eyes are NOT on them, then they will NOT choose to go to that crowd

7. They are very easily influeunced by others 

8. More common in women than men

Narcissistic Personality Disorder

Cluster B

1. Egocentric (self-centered) & Arrogant (full of oneself)

2. Grandiose self perception (Seeing oneself as more important than others)

3. Lack of empathy for other people

4. They truly feel “special” and believe they are superior

   1. These people believe that they are BETTER than others

5. They resent others success, they are selfish 

Avoidant Personality Disorder

Cluster C

1. Avoids social interaction

2. Fear of rejection

3. Anxiety in social settings

4. Feelings of inadequacy (not being good enough)

5. appear awkward and uncomfortable in social situations, speech slow

6. They are hesitant to try NEW activities and they worry about being shameful  

Dependent Personality Disorder

Cluster C

1. Extreme dependence on others (very needy)

   1. Extreme reliance on others to tak e responsibility for them

2. Fear of separation & Clingy

3. Lack self-confidence

4. Avoids responsibility 

5. LOW self-esteem

6. They are victims of physical or sexual abuse

7. Seek people who will take care of them

Obsessive-Compulsive Personality Disorder (OCPD)

Cluster C

1. Perfectionism

2. preoccupied with rules, orderliness, control.

   1. Rigid (NOT flexible) & Stubborn

3. Fear of making a mistake

4. Very disciplined, organized & formal

   1. Desires control

5. They are always expecting that a catastrophe (sudden, harmful event) is going to happen if things are NOT perfect

6. More in men than women
