Explore
To search and learn more about something.

When something is placed under the ground.

When something is likely but not sure.
Populations
A group of people, animals, or plants living in one place.
Establish
To create or start something.
Build
To make or put something together.
Scientific
Related to science or scientists.
Physical
About the body or something you can touch.
Variety
A large range of different things.
Whether
Used when not sure between two choices.

The past form of 'are.'
Frequently
When something happens many times.
Relative Clause
Gives extra information about a noun, often starting with who, which, that, whose, where.
Modal Verbs
Special verbs used to show ability, possibility, permission, or obligation (can, could, may, might, must, shall, should, will, would).
Present Perfect Tense
Shows an action that happened at an unspecified time before now or started in the past and may continue (have/has + past participle).
Past Perfect Tense
Shows an action that was completed before another past action (had + past participle).
Formal Language
Used in professional, academic, or polite settings.
Informal Language
Used in casual or friendly conversations.
Passive Voice
Used when the action is more important than the person doing it; object of the action becomes the subject (be + past participle).
Expanded Noun Phrase
Gives more detail about a noun by adding adjectives, prepositional phrases, or other modifiers.
Cohesive Devices
Help link ideas together in writing (conjunctions, adverbials, pronouns, synonyms/repetition).
