CPR Compression Rate
100-120 bpm
CPR Compression Depth (Adult/Child)
2 inches
CPR Compression Depth (Infant)

CPR: When to stop?

CPR Goals
Restart the heart, give blood to brain and heart, give oxygen to the patient

AED Clear!
Stand clear and make sure everyone is clear of the body by saying 'clear' before pressing the deliver shock button
AED Usage Priority
Use the AED as soon as it arrives, even in the middle of compressions, as it has a higher success rate.
Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) vs Heart Attack
SCA is a rhythm issue, while a heart attack is a blood flow/blockage issue.
Seizures: First time seizure guideline
Immediately call 911
Seizures: If patient has had previous seizures…
Time the seizure, make sure they have a clear airway, and support the head
Narcan
Use Naloxone (Narcan) spray to reverse a drug overdose by spaying it through the patients nose
