once inside the examination room, instruct the patient in disrobing, including directions on how to put the gown on. Leave the room unless patient needs assistance

help the patient sit on the edge of the examination table and cover the lap and legs with a drape

Documented all information necessary and log off the computer, notify the MD that the patient is ready

assist the physician

help the patient sit at the edge of the examination table

preform any follow-up procedures or treatments

leave the room while the patient dresses unless they need assistance

return to the examination room to answer any questions, reinforce physician instructions, and provide patient education

escort the patient to the front desk

properly clean or dispose of all used equipment and supplies. Clean the room with a disinfectant and prepare for the next patient
