• Vow of consecration, choice to be set apart

• A time commitment for the vow

• A fast period

• Intentional vow

• Paired with a devotional focus and daily devotional discipline

Why Nazarite vow is biblical in light of Jesus commanding against vows or oaths?

• Matt 5:33-37 refers to fulfilling your vow to the Lord and warns against making false or flippant vows

• Nazarite vow is a sober transaction before the Lord to live a consecrated lifestyle and heart posture

• Interpreting no oaths or vows is bad theology and poor exegesis; by that logic, marriage and fasting is unbiblical
