What does it mean to modulate?
To change or alter.
What do the modulation effects chorus, flanger, and phaser, modulate?
Each of these effects modulates different time and or frequency.
What is the chorus effect?
Chorus is intended to replicate the sound of multiple musicians playing the same thing together.
It does this by modulating the frequency of the incoming signal.
This creates changes in pitch and time which creates the sense of multiple musicians playing a part.
What is the rate on a chorus?
The rate is measured in hertz.
The rate is the speed at which the plugin modulates the incoming signal.
What is the intensity on a chorus?
The amount of modulation that will occur.
A higher setting here will create unusual and very detuned sounds.
What is the mix on a chorus?
The %/dB between the original dry signal and the wet signal.
