scrotum / scrotal sac
This structure hangs under the penis and contains the testicles and epididymis.
testicles
These produce sperm and the male sex hormone testosterone.
epididymis
These are next to each testicle and are used to store sperm. From here, sperm are transported to the vas deferens.
vas deferens / ductus deferens
This thin muscular tube transports the sperm from the epididymis to the urethra.
seminal vesicle
These two glands are located at the base of the bladder.
They secrete a thick fluid that nourishes the sperm.
prostate gland
This walnut‑sized gland surrounds a portion of the urethra and produces some of the fluid in semen.
urethra
This is a tube that carries semen and urine out of the penis.
penis
This organ is made of two parts: the shaft (the main part) and the glans (the tip, sometimes called the head). This organ delivers sperm through the urethra.
Bladder
This is the muscular sac that stores urine (pee) until it is released through the urethra.
