Line Graph

Typically a type of graph that is used for measuring trends over time.

Ex: Measuring a persons income for each month

Bar Graphs

* One of the most common visual representations of information. Used to illustrate sets of numerical data

Ex: Measuring the heights of famous basketball players

Pie Charts

Useful for depicting single unit or category is divided

* Effective at showing how a single entity is divided into parts.

Footnote

Text that is listed at the bottom of a page which lists facts and figures within that document page were obtained

Endnote

Listed at the end of paragraphs and chapters of a document, instead of each page of a document

Glossary

A list of terms and their definitions that can be found at the back of certain types of books such as textbooks or reference books

Index

Typically found in a nonfiction book at the end.

Table of Contents

Found mostly in books, magazines, and journals at the beginning. Lists different subjects or chapter titles with a page number
