Mean
The arithmetic average of a set of values, calculated by dividing the total of the values by the number of values.
Median
The middle value in a data set when the numbers are arranged in order.
Mode
The value that occurs most frequently in a data set.
Outlier
A data point that differs significantly from other observations, which can affect statistical measures like mean and median.
Range
The difference between the highest and lowest values in a data set.
Symmetrical Distribution
A distribution where the left and right sides are mirror images of each other, often resulting in the mean, median, and mode being the same.
Skewed Distribution
A distribution that is not symmetrical, where one tail is longer or fatter than the other, affecting the relationship between mean, median, and mode.
Active Labor Duration
The period during which a woman is actively experiencing contractions in preparation for childbirth.
Primigravida
A woman who is pregnant for the first time.
Clinical Application
The practical use of data analysis in a healthcare setting, often for patient education or clinical planning.
