What is One-Way ANOVA used for?

To compare the means of more than two groups.

What is the null hypothesis (H0) in ANOVA?

There is no difference between any of the groups' means.

What does the alternative hypothesis in ANOVA propose?

That there is a difference between some of the groups.

What are the assumptions of ANOVA?

Normal distribution of values, homogeneity of variance, and independent measures.

What does 'Homogeneity of variance' mean in the context of ANOVA?

The variance of scores for each group is approximately the same.

Define 'Mean Square Error (MSE)' in ANOVA.

An estimate of population variance based on the variance within each group.

What does a high F-ratio in ANOVA suggest?

There is more variance between the groups than within the groups, suggesting the null hypothesis is false.

What is the purpose of post-hoc tests in ANOVA?

To determine which specific groups differ from each other after finding a significant effect.

What is the Bonferroni correction?

A method used to adjust the significance level when conducting multiple comparisons to control the familywise error rate.
