Introduction and Interview
The first 4-5 minute section of the IELTS Speaking test in which the examiner asks basic questions to get to know the candidate.
Examiner
The certified person who conducts the IELTS Speaking test, asks questions, and assesses the candidate’s performance.
Identification
Official document (passport, ID card, etc.) shown to confirm the candidate’s identity before the test begins.
Hometown
The place where a candidate comes from, often discussed in Part 1 questions about origin and local features.
Northeast
The compass direction located between North and East.
Humid
Describing air or weather that contains a lot of moisture; damp and often uncomfortable.
Ambitious
Having a strong desire to achieve success, power, or wealth.
Reserved
Describing someone who does not readily talk about or show their feelings.
Open-minded
Willing to consider new ideas and different opinions.
Transportation
The system or activity of moving people or goods from one place to another.
Well-equipped
Having all the necessary equipment, tools, or facilities.
Convenient
Easy to reach, use, or access; fitting well with one’s needs or schedule.
Scenic spots
Places of natural beauty or interest that attract visitors for their attractive views.
Population
The total number of people living in a specific area, city, or country.
Nightlife
Entertainment and social activities (bars, clubs, shows) that take place in the evening and at night.
