How do we define cheating?

  • Determining if the ethos of the game tolerates the rule violation

    • Set of shared norms for interpreting the rules, including the context and unwritten rules

    • Rule violations and unfair advantages for personal gain

    • Not all unethical or unlawful actions are synonymous with cheating
