Posterior or Dorsal
referring to the back side of the body or structure on the frontal plane
Anterior or Ventral
referring to the front side of the body or structure on the frontal plane
Sagittal or Median
referring to a plane that divides the body into left and right sections
Frontal or Coronal
referring to a plane that divides the body into anterior and posterior sections
Transverse or horizontal
referring to a plane that divides the body into upper and lower sections
Superior
higher in the anatomical position on the transverse plane
Inferior
lower in the anatomical position on the transverse plane
Medial
Closer to the body midline on the sagittal plane
Lateral
further from the body midline on the sagittal plane

epithelial tissue
it covers and lines organs. doesn’t have a blood supply
muscle tissue
provides movement for body. skeletal, cardiac and smooth types of tissues

delivers messages from one part of the body to another. neuron and glia
