A 이거 맛 이 좀 이상한데 .

B 유통 기한 지난 거 아니야 ? 날짜 확인해 봐 .

A : 아닌데 . 내년 까지 괜찮다 는데 . 내가 이상한 건 가봐 . B. 그냥 버려 . 혹시 모르 잖아 .

A. 버리 라고 ? 너무 아까운 데 . .

B : 아픈 것 보다는 낫 잖아 . 됐어 . 그냥 버려 .

A : This tastes kind of funny .

B : Maybe it's expired . Check the date

A : No. It says it's good until next year It must be me .

B : Just throw it away . Just in case

A : Throw it away ? It's such a waste .

B : It's better than getting sick . Forget it . Just throw it away .

A : 이건 어디로 가면 돼 ?

B : 그건 일단 침실 에 놔줘 .

A : 이걸 침실 에 놓고 쓰게 ?

B : 사실 어디에 둘지 아직 결정 을 못해서 일단 침실 에 두고 천천히 생각해 보려고 .

A : 침실 어디 ?

B : 그냥 아무 데나 놔둬 .

A : Where does this go ?

B : Just put that in the bedroom . You're going to keep this in your bedroom ?

B : Actually , I haven't where to put it , so I'm just going to keep in the bedroom for now and decide later .

A : Where in the bedroom ?

B : You can just leave it anywhere .

A : 이 빈백 의자 정말 살 거야 ? 거실 이 좁게 느껴 지는 거 아니야 ? B : 사실 나 소파 없애 려고 .

A : 진짜 ? 너 그거 엄청 아끼는 거 잖아 ?

B : 응 . 근데 그냥 좀 바꿔 보고 싶은 것도 있었고 애들 이 저녁 내내 TV 앞에만 있지 않게 할 수 있 을까 싶어서 .

A : 그래서 그냥 버리 려고 ?

B : 처음 에는 그렇게 하려다가 안 쓰는 가구 를 기 부할 수 있더라고 . 이번 주 에 와서 가져 가기 로 했어 .

A : 아 , 그런 것도 있어 ?

B : 그렇 더라 . 어떤 기관 이 있는데 복잡한 거 하나 도 없던데 전화 했더니 바로 일정 잡아 주더라고

A : Are you sure about this bean bag chair ? Aren't you worried it might make your living room feel a bit crammed ?

B : Actually , I'm getting rid of my sofa .

A : Really ? I thought you loved that thing . B : I do , but I wanted to change things up a bit . Plus , I think it could keep the kids from sitting in front of the TV all evening

A : So , you're just going to throw it away ?

B : That was the idea at first , but I found that you could donate unused furniture . So , I'm having it picked up later this week .

A : Oh , they do that ?

B : Apparently , yeah . There's an agency . It was really straight forward actually . I just called them and they made arrangements to have it picked up .

A : 학교 는 좀 어때 ?

B : 뭐 , 그렇지 뭐 .

A : 무슨 문제 라도 있어 ?

B : 그냥 ... 최근 에 많이 느끼는 게 , 가장 힘든 부분 이 공부 나 연구 가 아니라 사람들 이랑 어울리고 교수님 비위 맞추는 일인 것 같아 . 인간 관계 에 어느 정도 신경 써야 할 거라는 것은 알고 있었는데 이렇게 힘들 줄 은 몰랐어 .

A : 아 , 무슨 말인지 알 것 같아 . 안타깝게도 , 대부분 의 조직 생활 이 다 비슷해 .

A : How's school ?

B : You know , Pretty much the same .

A : ( It ) Sounds like something is bothering you .

B : Well .. Lately , I've just been feeling like the hardest part isn't the studying or the researching but trying to fit in and currying favor with the professor .

I knew I would need to put some effort into building good relationships , but I didn't think it would be this tough

A Oh , I think I know what you mean . Sadly , it's pretty much the same with most organizations .

A : 앰버 야 , 차 에서 뭐 좀 옮기는 거 도와 줄래

B : 응 .

A : 고마워 . ( 평소 같으면 ) 나 혼자 하겠는데 장 을 한 20 만원 어치 샀 거든 . 엄청 무거운 것들이 있어서 ...

B : ... A : 무슨 일 있어 ?

B : 아니 . 아 , 뭐 좀 찾고 있었는데 . 혹시 집안 어 딘가 에 작은 USB 드라이브 굴러 다니는 거 못 봤어 ? A : 음 .. 못 본 것 같은데 . 중요한 거 들었어 ?

B : 응 . 곧 발표 가 있는데 그 안에 다 들어 있거든 . 조사 자료 2 주 치 정도 .

A : 어디 있겠지 . 들어가서 찾는 거 도와 줄게 .

A : Amber . Could you help me carry some stuff from the car ?

B : Sure . A : Thanks . I'd do it myself , but I picked up like 200,000 won worth of groceries and some of it is just really heavy . B : ...

A : Is everything OK ?

B : Yeah . Oh , sorry . I was just looking for something . You didn't happen to see a small thumb drive lying around in the apartment somewhere , did you ?

A : I don't think so . Did you have something important on it ?

B : Yeah . I have a presentation coming up and I had everything on it . About 2 weeks worth of research material .

A : I'm sure it'll turn up . I'll help you look for it when we're back inside .

A : 어제 이태원 에서 일어난 사고 얘기 들었어 ?

B : 아니 . 무슨 사고 ?

A : 압사 사고 가 있었는데 150 명이 죽었 대 .

B : 150 명이 죽었다고 ? 사상자 가 150 명 이라는 거 겠지 .

A : 못 믿겠 으면 검색해 봐 . ( 찾아 보더니 )

B : 아 .. 할로윈 이라고 사람들 이 또 엄청 모 였었 구나 . 맙소사 , 피해자 대부분 이 10 대 20 대 라네 . 이렇게 큰 사고 는 세월 호 이후 로 처음 아니야 ?

A 몰라 .

A : Did you hear about the accident in Itaewon yesterday ?

B : No. What accident ?

A : There was a crowd collapse and 150 people were killed .

B : 150 people killed ? Don't you mean there were 150 casualties ?

A : Look it up if you don't believe me .

B : Oh , tons of people gathered for Halloween . Oh my god . They say that most of the victims were in their teens and twenties . Isn't this the worst accident since the Sewol Ferry accident ?

A. I don't know

( 이어폰 한 쪽 을 빼면서 )

A : 음악 소리 방해 돼 ?

B : 아니 . 괜찮아 .

A : 방해 되면 얘기해 .

B : 괜찮아 . 근데 , 너 음악 엄청 크게 듣는다 . 귀안 아파 ?

A : 아 , 보통 이렇게 크게 듣지 않는데 밖에 공사 소리 가 너무 거슬려서 ..

B : 그 .. 뭐냐 .. ' 노이즈 캔슬링 ' 되는 걸로 사야 겠다 .

A : 어 . 안 그래도 좀 전에 그 생각 을 하고 있었어 .

A : Sorry , is the music bothering you ?

B : No. it's OK .

A : All right . Just tell me if it does .

B : It's all right . Although , you do seem to have the volume up pretty high . Doesn't that hurt your ears ?

A : Oh , normally , I don't have it this high . It's just that the construction noise is really getting on my nerves .

B : You should get one of those with noice cancelling .

A : Yeah . In fact , I was just thinking the same

A : 이렇게 날씨 가 좋을 줄 알았 으면 뭐라도 계획 했을 텐데 .

B : 계획 이 뭐하러 필요해 ? 어디서 외박 할 것만 아니면 결국 은 어디 가서 먹고 마시는 거 잖아 .

A : 그렇긴 한데 ...

B : 그럼 그냥 어디 라도 가 . 난 오히려 어디로 가서 뭐 할지 모르는 게 더 재밌 던데 . 그러면 실망 할 일 이 없잖아 ( ? ) 애초에 해야 했던 게 없으니까 . 무슨 말인지 알지 ?

A : 너야 그렇게 쉽게 말하지 . 너는 네 생각 만 하면 되 잖아 . 애 둘 에 와이프 / 남편 까지 있어 봐 , 그게 그렇게 쉬운 일인가 . 게다가 지금 벌써 2 시 . 지금 결정 하고 이동 해서 어디 도착할 때 쯤이면 어두워 져 있을 걸 .

B : 그건 그래 .

A : If I had known the weather was going to be this good , I would've planned something .

B : What do you need a plan for ? Unless you're thinking of staying overnight somewhere , you're eventually going somewhere to eat and drink , right ?

A : Yeah , but ...

B : So , just go somewhere . I actually find it more fun not knowing where I'm going to go and what I'm going to do . Because then , you never get disappointed because there's never anything you were supposed to do in the first place . Do you know what I mean ?

A : Easy for you to say . You just need to think about what you want . Try saying that with 2 kids and a husband . Besides , it's already 2. If we decide and leave now , it'll be dark by the time we arrive .

A : 너 주말 에 뭐 해 ?

B : 아 .. 이번 주말 에는 집에 묶여 있을 것 같은데 . 밀린 일 이 좀 있어서 .

A : 진짜 ? 너랑 케일리 우리 집 으로 부를까 했는데 해보고 싶은 파스타 레시피 가 있 거든 .

B : 아 ~ 재밌겠다 . 언제 ? 토요일 ?
