Trait

OCEAN
An acronym representing the five factors of personality: Openness, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, Agreeableness, Neuroticism.
Openness
Tendency to be open-minded, creative, and curious.
Conscientiousness
Being dutiful, careful, and rule-abiding, often comprising ambition.
Agreeableness
Tendency to be trusting, helpful, and cooperative.
Neuroticism
Tendency to experience negative emotions such as anxiety and moodiness.
Lexical Hypothesis
The idea that important aspects of human life will be labeled and that language reflects these traits.
Typological Approach
A method that categorizes individuals into distinct types based on qualitative differences in personality.
California Q-Set
A personality assessment tool using 100 phrases to capture various aspects of personality.
