What were the Vikings location?

• First Europeans to arrive in North America

• Came from a land that is now called Skandanavia

• Many mountains in the Vikings homes made farming difficult

• The Norse

• Made ships as thier main form of transportation

• Survived harsh storms and rough waters, sailing on longships

• Would trade with people they met on thier expeditions

Who was Eric the Red?

A Norse Explorer, banished from Iceland. He settled in a land, calling it Greenland, he wanted to attract settlers to go there.

Who was Leif Ericksson?

A Norse Explorer. Found land past Greenland and called it Vineland. He was called “Leif the Lucky" because he rescued a shipwrecked Viking crew and got the cargo as a reward.
