Comparing and Ordering Integers

Determining which integer is greater or smaller than another. Integers further to the right on the number line are greater.

Absolute Value

The distance of an integer from zero on the number line; always a non-negative number.

Addition of Integers

Moving to the right on the number line for positive integers and to the left for negative integers.

Subtraction of Integers

The same as adding the opposite. Subtracting a positive integer is like moving left, and subtracting a negative integer is like moving right.
