Collateral Ganglia
A set of three ganglia in the sympathetic nervous system that innervate various abdominal organs.
Celiac ganglion
Innervates the stomach, duodenum, liver, gallbladder, pancreas, spleen, and kidneys.
Superior mesenteric ganglion
Innervates the small intestine and initial segments of the large intestine.
Inferior mesenteric ganglion
Innervates the terminal portions of the large intestine, the kidneys, urinary bladder, and sex organs.
