What is positive reinforcement?
Receiving a reward when a certain behaviour is performed.
When does negative reinforcement occur?
When an animal or human avoids something unpleasant.
What is punishment?
An unpleasant consequence of behaviour
What would happen when you're finding a way to avoid punishment?
It would be negative reinforcement.
What do positive and negative reinforcement do?
Increase the likelihood that behaviour will be repeated.

Decrease the likelihood that behaviour will be repeated
