Lambert Simnel

Perkin Warbeck

  • claimed he was Richard of York

  • support of Margaret of Burgundy, Charles VIII of France, King James IV 1495

  • 1492 - peace with Charles VIII

  • Sir William Stanley executed for treason 1495

  • James attempt to invade England 1497 failed, Warbeck fled to Ireland

  • gave himself up in August 1497 and 1498 was imprisoned in the Tower after running away, executed in 1499

  • led by Yorkist supporters - Viscount Francis Lovell, Humphrey and Thomas Stafford

  • taken sanctuary in Colchester but emerged in 1486 to gather troops

  • rebellion quickly collapsed - no foreign support
