Document 1

In my personal diary, I recount the days spent in the textile mills, the deafening sound of machinery never ceasing. The air is thick with cotton dust, making each breath a struggle. Despite the long hours and minimal pay, I dare not complain for fear of losing the only job that stands between my family and destitution. The factory owners, meanwhile, continue to amass wealth, seemingly indifferent to our plight.
