What are the walls of the heart mostly made out of?
Muscle tissue
What does the valves do?
The prevent the blood from flowing backwards
What is the hearts four chambers?
Right atrium, right ventricle, left atrium, left ventricle
Where does the blood flow into?
The atria from the vena cava and pulmonary vein
What happens when the atria contracts?
Pushes the blood into the ventricles
What happens when the ventricles cintract?
Forces the blood unto the pulmonary atery and the aorta and out the heart

Flows to the organs and returns through the veins
Whay happens when the atria fills up again?
The cycle restarts
What are the arteries called that branch off the aorta and surround the heart?
Coronary arteries
What is the resting heart controlled by?
