B cells

produce antibodies, develop into plasma or memory B cells

Plasma cells

Activated B cells, secrete a lot of antibodies 

Memory B cells Primary response

Learn and store and store antigen info

Memory B cells secondary response

Become plasma cells and attack fast to prevent symptoms

Helper T cells (CD4+)

Recognize antigens on MHC II, release cytokines to activate B cells and cytotoxic T cells

Cytotoxic T cells (CD8+)

Recognize antigens on MHC I, kill infected or abnormal cells

Regulatory T cells

Suppress immune responses, maintain tolerance to self antigens, prevent autoimmunity

Memory T cells

Persist after infection, rapid response upon re-exposure

Naive B cells

Mature B cells that have never seen their antigen, activated by antigen and helper T cells
