What does an R-squared value tell us?
the goodness of fit around a line of best fit on a scatter graph indicating correlation (the proportion of the variance in the responsible variable that can be explained by the exposure)
What does a standard error of regression value tell us?
the average distance that the observed values fall from the regression line
What does a larger R-squared value indicate?
the line has better fit around the data points
What do confidence intervals tell us?
the range of values you'd expect to see 95% if the time based off your sample's estimate (how reliable a coefficient is)
What do p-values tell us?
the probability that a coefficient at least as big as the value estimated/ calculated might come up (how likely a coefficient is)
What does a low p-value indicate?
there is a high probability that an association between the variables is likely
Do p-values and CIs tell us about the phenomenon or model?
model
