Characteristics of a deliberative assembly

• group of people that meet to discuss then take action (does not matter the number of people)

• meets in a single room or area

• members are free to act with their own judgement

• all votes have equal weight

• if you don’t agree, it doesn’t mean to you are kicked out

• present members act for the absent (except in the absence of a quorum)

Common deliberative assemblies are a..
