Psychological Contract
A person’s overall set of expectations regarding what they will contribute to the organization and what the organization will provide in return.
Person-Job Fit
How well a person’s abilities, desires, and motivations match the demands, attributes, and rewards of the job.
Realistic Job Previews (RJPs)
Present both positive and potentially negative information to job candidates to provide accurate information about the job and build trust.
Big Five Personality Traits
A set of fundamental traits relevant to organizations, including Agreeableness, Conscientiousness, Neuroticism, Extraversion, and Openness.
Locus of Control
The extent to which a person believes their circumstances are a function of their own actions or external factors.
Self-Efficacy
A person’s beliefs about their capabilities to perform a task.
Emotional Intelligence (EQ)
The ability to perceive, express, understand, and manage emotions in oneself and others.
Learning Styles
Individual differences in how we process information, including visual, auditory, tactile, and kinesthetic learning preferences.
Type A Personality
Extremely competitive, with a strong sense of time urgency; aggressive, impatient, and highly work-oriented.
Type B Personality
Less competitive and less committed to work, with a more balanced and relaxed approach to life.
