Unicameral
A legislature with one part/chamber.

Legislature
A group of people with the power to make laws. Example: Congress

Compromise
An agreement where everyone gets something, but no one gets everything they want. You meet in the middle.

Bicameral
A legislature with two parts/chambers. Example: Congress

Executive
The person or group that enforces laws. They make sure the laws are followed.

Judicial
Another word for a group of judges or courts. This group interprets the laws, or explains what the laws mean in real-life examples.

Fugitive
A person running away from punishment.
