Ambivalence

The state of having mixed feelings or contradictory ideas about something or someone.

Avail

To be of use or benefit; to make use of something effectively.

Countervailing

Acting against something so as to cancel its effect; counteractive.

Evaluate

To assess or determine the value, significance, or quality of something.

Evince

To reveal the presence of (a quality or feeling); to show clearly.

Invaluable

Extremely useful; indispensable; beyond measurable worth.

Prevail

To be widespread or dominant; to triumph over opposition.

Valedictorian

The student with the highest academic achievements who delivers the farewell speech at a graduation ceremony.

Valiant

Brave and determined, showing courage in difficult situations.

Vanquish

To defeat thoroughly, especially in battle or conflict.

Abrogate

To repeal or abolish a law, right, or agreement officially.

Conquistador

A Spanish conqueror of the Americas during the 16th century.

Inquisitive

Curious or eager for knowledge; inclined to ask questions.

Interrogate

To question someone formally and aggressively, often in an official capacity.

Perquisite

A privilege, gain, or benefit beyond regular salary; a perk.

Presage

A sign or warning of a future event; an omen.

Quest

A search or pursuit, often for something of great significance.

Requisite

Required or necessary for a particular purpose.

Sagacity

Wisdom and sound judgment, especially in practical matters.

Surrogate

A substitute or replacement, often referring to a person acting in place of another.
