Battle of Lexington and Concord 1775
First Battle of the War. The militia stood up to the British and forced the British to retreat back to Boston
Battle of Breeds Hill
A major early win which they fortified a hill and killed many british but then they had to retreat but it proved they could do well but many colonist died
Battle of New York
The british won this and got a very good place near boston to help with other battles
“Trenton” and “Princeton”
George washington crossed the delaware river and was right after christmas so they won by a lot and is now a famous picture and the 2d battle he drove the british from new york to new jersey
Battle of saratoga
The Turning Point” was when the colonist won with the french and was a huge moral boost about how they could do this and win

It was a place in winter when they did not have a lot of food or supplies and their hope and spirits were low then people came to boost morale and train them |
Battle of Yorktown
The colonies did not have to win they just had to not lose and the French helped the colonies and this caused the treaty of Paris.
