Acceleration
The rate at which an objects velocity changes over time.
Direction
A property that describes the orientation or path of an object or force in space, often relative to a reference point or defined by cardinal directions.
Balanced Forces
When 2 or more forces action on an object are equal in all direction.
Unbalanced Forces
When 2 or more unequal forces action on a object.
Frame of Reference (Reference Point, Frame)
A system that was coordinates or background objects to establish position or measure movement of a point in space.
Inertia
The tendency of an objects velocity changes resisting change in motion, remain unchanged.
Motion
The change in an objects position with respect to time and in comparison to the position of other objects used as an reference point.
Magnitude
Amount of strength of a force.
Net Force
The sum of all force acting in an object.
Newton’s Second Law of Motion
The acceleration of an object is directly proportional to the net force acting on it and inversely proportional to its mass.
Speed
The rate at which an object covers distance, without regard to direction.
Velocity
The speed of something in a specific direction.
