What is the difference between Weather and Climate?
Weather is a day-to-day condition, and Climate is an average weather in a certain area over time.
What is a dichotomous key?
A dichotomous key is a tool to identify and classify objects
What are the four different type of clouds?
Stratus, Cirrus, Cumulus, and Cumulus-nimbus
What are the three different variable?
Independent variable, Constant, and Dependent variable
What is the difference between an Independent variable and a Dependent variable?
An Independent variable is something YOU change in an experiment, and an Dependent variable is something that changes because of the Independent variable.
What is type of energy is light?
Light is Mechanical Energy.
What are the different types of energy?
Mechanical, Radiant, Electrical, and Thermal Energy
What is the difference between Renewable and Non-Renewable?
Renewable is things that are able to be made again, and Non-Renewable is something that can NOT be made again.
What are some things that are Non-Renewable?
Fossil fuel which includes, Coal, Natural Gas, and Petroleum (crude oil).
What are some things that are Renewable?
Sunlight, Water, and Wind.
What is Mechanical Energy?
Mechanical Energy is energy in a form of motion.
What are some examples of Mechanical Energy?
Some examples are fans, drills, cars, and more.
What is Radiant Energy?
Radiant Energy is Energy in a form of light.
What are some examples of Radiant Energy?
Some examples are light, sunlight, flashlights, and more.
What is Electrical Energy?
Electrical Energy is energy in the form of an electric charge flowing through a conductor.
What are some examples of Electrical Energy?
Some examples are wires, lightning, electricity, and more.
What is Thermal Energy?
Thermal Energy is energy you FEEL in the form of heat as it transfer.
What are some examples of Thermal Energy?
Some examples are a lit light bulb, a burning candle, hot coffee, and more.
What is the difference between a Conductor and a Insulator?
A Conductor is any material through which electrical energy moves easily, and an Insulator is any material that does not easily allow for the flow of negative charges.
What are some materials that are conductors?
Any type of metal.
What are some materials that are Insulators?
Rubber, plastic, and wood.
What is a dry cell?
Another term for battery.
What are Circuits?
A Circuit is the path along which the current flows that allows energy to move one place to another.
What are the different type of circuits?
Open circuit, and Closed circuit.
What is the difference between an Open circuit and a Closed circuit?
An Open circuit is a circuit where the current CANNOT flow, and a Closed circuit is a circuit where the current CAN flow.
What is a Current?
A current is a flow of energy.
What is static electricity?
Static electricity is the transfer of charges between materials.
What is an example of static electricity?
An example is when a ballon which has positive charges rubs against hair which has negative charges as the electrons leave the surface of one material.
