What is mass?
The amount of matter in an object, measured in grams (g) or kilograms (kg).
What is volume?
The amount of space an object takes up, measured in liters (L), milliliters (mL), or cubic centimeters (cm³).
What is density?
The amount of mass per unit volume. It shows how tightly packed matter is.
What is the formula of density?
Density = mass/volume
What are the units for density?
Grams per cubic centimeter (g/cm³) or kilograms per liter (kg/L).
If an object has a mass of 200g and a volume of 50cm³, what is its density?
4g/cm³
Why does a rock sink in water but wood floats?
Because the rock has a higher density than water, while wood has a lower density.
