Social Determinants of Health (SDOH)
The conditions in the environments where people are born, live, learn, work, play, worship, and age that affect a wide range of health, functioning, and quality-of-life outcomes and risks.

Health Equity

Approaches that utilize the best available evidence, clinical expertise, and patient values to improve patient care.
Structural barriers
Systemic biases embedded within healthcare institutions that disproportionately affect individuals from marginalized communities, limiting their access to quality healthcare.
Ethical responsibilities of nurses
