How do vaccinations work
Vaccinations involve injecting small amount of dead or inactive pathogens. These carry antigens, which cause your white blood cells to produce antibodies to attack them even though the pathogen is harmless this creates immunity
What are the pros of vaccinations
What is herd immunity
protection from diseases
Helps control common diseases(like polio , smallpox,measles)
Prevents out break of diseases called epidemics
If enough people are immune to pathogen , pathogen won’t have anyone to spread to so host dies
What are the cons to vaccinations
-vaccines don’t always work-sometimes they don’t give you immunity
-you can sometimes have a bad reaction to a vaccine (like swelling, fever, seizures)
