Alarm reaction phase
Initial stage where the body reacts with a fight or flight response, activating stress horomones
Resistance phase
Secondary phase when the body tries to adapt to cope, maintaining heightened alertness
Exhaustion phase
Body’s resources are now depleted, which leads to decreased stress and possible health issues

Problem focused coping
Attempting to manage or solve the problem to reduce the stress

Just managing the emotional response to stress rather than challenging the situation
