A term in physical geography describing the height and shape of the land.
Drainage
A term in physical geography describing how water flows through or is removed from an area.
Sustainable settlement
A community or residential development designed to have a minimal impact on the environment and to continue functioning long into the future.
Hypothesis
A statement or theory being tested as part of a geographical enquiry, such as 'The velocity (speed) of a river increases downstream.'
Environmental quality survey
A method used to assess a site's condition by scoring factors like attractiveness of buildings, litter, and landscaping on a scale (e.g., from 0 to 5).

Risk assessment
An essential part of geographical enquiry planning used to identify potential hazards and safety measures before completing fieldwork.
