Enumerated Powers
Powers of the federal government, they are explicitly stated in Constitution to limit power
Examples: Regulate trade, call up army
Reserved Powers
Powers kept by the States, not listed in the Constitution
Examples: school/education laws, seatbelt laws
Shared Powers
Powers that are shared between the State and the Federal Government
Examples: Collect taxes, borrow money
Implied Powers
Powers that apply to the Federal Government, they come from the Commerce Clause and the Necessary Improper Clause (or Elastic Clause)
Examples: National bank, highway system, social security
