what is a chemical?

any basic substance which is used in or produced by a reaction involving changes to atoms or molecules

what does 'organic' mean in chemistry

a chemical is considered organic if it contains at least one carbon atom, regardless of its source.

how do synthetic chemicals differ from natural chemicals?

made by humans using methods different than those nature uses, and these chemical structures may or may not be found in nature.
