Nervous

Endocrine

• glands secrete hormones that regulate growth, reproduction, & nutrient use(metabolism) by body cells

Cardiovascular

• heart pumps blood which is transported by blood vessels which carry oxygen, CO2, waste, & nutrients etc.

Lymphatic/Immune

• houses white blood cells

• takes leaked fluids from blood vessels & returns it to blood

• disposes of lymphatic stream debris

Respiratory

• the walls of the air sacs in the lungs allow for CO2 to be removed

• brings a constant supply of oxygen into the body

Digestive

• breaks food down into absorbible units that enter the blood for distribution to body cells

• removes waste as feces

Urinary

• gets rid of nitrogenous wastes from the body

• regulates water, electrolytes, & acid-base balance of the blood

Reproductive

• produces off-spring

• testes produces sperm & male sex hormones

• ovaries produce eggs a & female sex hormones
