What is a conditional statement?
A statement in the format 'If P, then Q' where P is the hypothesis and Q is the conclusion.
P = hypothesis
Q = conclusion
It’s often written in the form: if p, then q.
What are the forms of conditional statement?
Converse: If q, then p.
Inverse: If not p, then not q.
Contrapositive: If not q, then not p.
What is a counterexample?
An example that proves the conditional statement to be false.
What is a biconditional statement?
