Tell me about yourself.
I’m a Health Science major at Merced College with experience in customer service, event coordination, and over 350 hours of community service. As well as being bilingual. I’ve also worked as an administrative assistant, where I learned organization and communication skills. I enjoy working with people and helping them find what they need, which is why I’m excited about the opportunity at Boot Barn.
Why do you want to work at Boot Barn?
I admire Boot Barn’s focus on community and quality service. I enjoy helping customers feel confident in what they’re buying, whether it’s clothing, boots, or accessories. I’d like to bring my people skills and dependability to the team.
3. How would you handle a difficult customer?
I’d listen carefully to their concern, stay calm, and show empathy. Then I’d do my best to solve the problem. Whether that means finding a different product, checking inventory, or asking a manager for support if needed.
What’s your availability?
I have open availability, including weekends and holidays.
What are your strengths?
I’m reliable and friendly, and I make customers feel comfortable.
What are your weaknesses?
Public speaking isn’t my strongest skill, but I’ve been improving it through leadership roles in college clubs.
Do you have experience in teamwork?
Yes. In college, I was part of Track & Field, the Pre-Health Club, and community service projects. We had to rely on each other, communicate well, and stay organized, which I think relates a lot to teamwork here.
How do you handle stress in a busy environment?
I stay calm, focus on one task at a time, and work with my team to get things done efficiently. I’ve learned from school and past jobs how to stay organized under pressure.
Where do you see yourself in a year?
I’d like to continue growing here and take on more responsibility, and keep developing my costumer service skills.
Pizza hut: Why do you want to work here?
I enjoy being part of a team and working in a fast-paced environment. Pizza Hut is well-known for great service, and I’d love to contribute to that by bringing my positive energy and customer service skills.
How would you handle an upset customer with a wrong order?
I’d apologize sincerely, fix the order as quickly as possible, and make sure they leave satisfied. I know that small moments of care can turn a negative experience into a positive one.
Tell me about a time when you had a disagreement with a customer.
When babysitting, a parent once disagreed with how I handled bedtime routines. I listened carefully, adjusted to their preferences, and the parent appreciated my flexibility. I learned to handle differences calmly and respectfully.
Tell me about a time when you had to learn something quickly.
At SofTrak Sports, I was asked to learn a new filing system the same day it was implemented. I asked questions, took notes, and practiced right away. By the end of the week, I was confidently using it, and my supervisor thanked me for adapting so fast.
Tell me about a time when your supervisor wasn’t around.
In Track & Field, sometimes our coach wasn’t present. As assistant captain, I stepped up by leading warm-ups and keeping the team on task. It taught me leadership and responsibility even without direct supervision.
Tell me about a time when you received criticism.
In band, my section leader once told me I was rushing my tempo. At first, it was tough to hear, but I practiced with a metronome and improved. It showed me that constructive criticism helps me grow.
Tell me about a time when you were recognized for your efforts.
When volunteering, I organized part of a community event. At the end, the organizer thanked me in front of the group for keeping things running smoothly. It motivated me to keep working hard
Tell me about a time when you made a good sale
In my college club, we sold snacks as a fundraiser. I suggested bundling items as a deal, and it boosted our sales. I realized that suggesting options and being enthusiastic can encourage customers to buy more.
