What are the features of the iliofemoral ligament?
Very strong, trianglular, anterior, resists extension and lateral rotation
Normal hip ROM (passive):
Flexion: 120-125°, Extension: 15-30°, Abduction: 30-50°, Adduction: 20-30°, Medial rotation: 25-40°, External rotation: 40-50°
What is the capsular pattern of the hip?
Greatest loss in medial rotation, then flexion, abduction, followed by extension
