Design that is innovative, along with innovative technology
Makes a product useful
Design must emphasises the usefulness of a product both functionally and aesthetically and not adding anything that can detract from it
Makes a product understandable
Design must clarify the product’s structure so it is self-explanatory
Aesthetic
Design that must be beautiful in a well-executed manner
Unobtrusive
Design must fulfill the purpose of the product, and therefore restrained and neutral, giving room for the user’s self-expression
Honest
Design must not overstate the product’s value, such as innovation, power and value. It must not manipulate the consumer with fake promises
Long-lasting
Design must avoid being fashionable and thus will not appear antiquated. The product should last many years as well.

Product must be made with care and accuracy during design to show respect to the customer
environmentally friendly
Product must be designed with the least amount of waste, and must not feel polluted during the lifecycle of the product
as little design as possible
Design must focus only on essential aspects and make it simple and pure
