Describe how the main characters have changed after 16 years passed in chapter 16. What kind of person has Eppie grown up to be?
Godfrey married Nancy and they were in a better place until they though of having a child. Eppie is all grown up and being love and caring, while Silas is take good care of Eppie through those 16 years since that incident due to the New Year’s Party.
In Chapter 16, what changes have occurred to Silas Marner’s house in the 16 years that have passed? Who is responsible for these changes?
Silas Marner’s house was full of garden and expended the house more to make it look good. They also have pets (cats and dog), update furniture, and nice looking bed.
What was Godfrey and Nancy’s greatest unfilled desire? What reason does Nancy give for not wanting to adopt?
Godfrey and Nancy couldn’t having child because of those other babies die during birth, so she greater desire is to have a child because of Godfrey wish. Nacy give not wasting a adopt a child due to the behavior of a kid who is not taking cared of very well, but if it were someone who having raised well like Silas did to Eppie, then she would have taking care of her instead.

Godfrey wants to adopts Eppie, but the fact that he couldn’t have his own kid of his own. Silas before thought that Eppie should live with Godfrey when she was a teenager because of her having an amazing life style then he has, but Eppie denied his request because she really wants to be with him due to her take care of her very well over the years.
What changes are evident in Godfrey's character throughout the book? What has he learned?
His character shows that he is unchanged, he wants to do the right things but no badly enough to risk happiness, especially when he failed to his own Eppie as his daughter. Godfrey learned the unexpected resistance he meets from Silas and Eppie to bring his daughter home just so that Godfrey and Nancy can finally have child that they can raise and it was his duty that he can except, but still fail to do it.
What contributions do Godfrey and Nancy make to Eppie's wedding? Why don't they attend the festivities?
Nancy saw Eppie’s wedding when she was walking down the street because Nancy could have had Eppie if Godfrey had admitted to Molly was his wife when Molly was found dead in the snow. While Godfrey was gone to Lytherley on business and also didn’t attended Eppie’s wedding because he was too embarrassed to attend the wedding or perhaps he was making arrangement to tell about Eppie in his will.
