Clavicle
collar bone

Sternal End
pyramidal shaped end joining the sternum

Acromial End
flattened area of the clavicle that articulates with the acromion process

Scapula
triangular bone or "wing" of the pectoral girdle

Coracoid Process
anterior and smaller projection

Supraspinous Fossa
indentation superior to the spine

Superior Border
border that runs diagonally on the superior part of the scapula towards the coracoid process

Vertebral (medial) Border
border that runs downwards near the vertebrae

Acromion Process
an extension of the scapula that forms the high point of the shoulder

Infraspineous Fossa
indentation inferior to the spine

Spine
located on the posterior side of the scapula, prominent ridge that provides attachment for muscles; what you feel as your shoulder blade

Glenoid Fossa/Cavity
part of the scapula that joins with the head of the humerus

Lateral (axillary) Border
border of the scapula on the side that is faced towards the shoulder joint
