Subject
The noun or noun phrase that performs the action of the verb or about which something is asserted; the main actor or topic of the sentence.
Verb
The word that expresses action, occurrence, or state; it shows tense and aspect to locate the action in time.
Complement
The element that completes the meaning of a sentence, often following linking verbs, naming or describing the subject, or serving as the object in some constructions.
Modifier
A word or phrase that describes or qualifies another word, usually an adjective or adverb, to add detail or precision.
Count noun / Non-count noun
Count nouns are nouns that can be counted (have singular and plural forms, e.g., book/books); non-count (mass) nouns cannot be counted individually (e.g., water).
